New Zealand Beat Sri lanka by One Wicket in a close counter match of Champions Trophy

Cardiff: Despite Sri Lankan were out on a lowest total of 138, what would have been an chase for New Zealanders, became a tough and nerve breaking score and at one point they had lost hope to win the score as their 9 wickets were down and 5 runs still needed.

 At last Sri Lankan bowlers gave away match by bowling loose and extra deliveries.

Earlier Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first in a horrible decision which brought nothing but trouble for them as they lost their opener on the very first ball of the match. All the team was a fail except Sangakkara who scored 68 runs. 

McClenaghan took 4 wickets for 43 runs.

In reply, New Zealand episode was just same like of their opponents and they loss 6 wickets on mere 80 runs, 8 wickets on 122. The heighest scorer from kiwi side was Mcullum who scored 32 runs. 

Malinga took 4 wickets 34 runs.

Macullum of New Zealand was awarded Man of the match by scoring 32 runs and getting 2 wickets.
