Sri Lanka beats Australia, qualifies for Semi Final

Oval: Sri Lanka has beaten Australia in a nail biting match and qualified for Semi Final her in a Champions Trophy cricket match.

After winning the toss Australia decided to put Sri Lanka into batting and gave the target of 253 to win.


The Australian loss quick three wickets within earlier overs and were 9 down on 192 in 30.2 overs. 

The last wicket stand between Mckay and Doherty got 41 runs, gave kangaroos a hope to win the match. But Sri Lankan bowler Dilshan put Australian hope into dust by taking the last wicket of Mckay.

SriLankan batsman Jaywardane was awarded man of the match by remaining not out on 84 runs.
