LAHORE: Dengue fever kills the secretary of Punjab Mineral Development Corporation, Ataullah Siddiqui, died of dengue fever on Monday.
Mr Siddiqui’s wife and daughter were also suffering from dengue which is spreading across the province.
Some 486 new cases of the fever were reported in Punjab during the past 24 hours.
Moreover, on Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed a committee of elected public representatives to hold talks with the owners of private laboratories to impress upon them the need to serve the dengue patients in this critical hour.
