KARACHI: According to a statement issued here on Monday, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has asked Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan to resume the office of Sindh Governor as desired by President Asif Ali Zardari. The development took place following telephonic conversation between President Asif Ali Zardari and MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
It said Altaf Hussain has asked Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan to work in harmony with the federal and provincial governments under the guidance of the President Asif Ali Zardari.
President of Paksitan Asif Ali Zardari has welcomed the statement of MQM leader Altaf Hussain and termed it a good omen for harmony and reconciliation not only in the province but also with federal and provincial governments under the guidance of Presidnet according to Associated Press of Pakistan.
The rumours that MQM is going to rejoin PPP government were circling since 15 July when President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned the self exiled MQM Leader Altaf Hussain and Asked him to re-join the coalition government.
