No CIA Cells operating in Pakistan, Rehman Malik

Islamabad : Interior Minister Rehman has claimed that neither any foreign agency, including the US Central Intelligence Agency nor anyone will be allowed to operate in the country.

Supreme Court’s verdict on the cases of Saleem Shahzad and Sarfraz Shah would be implemented, the minister said while talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Saturday.

He said drug and land mafias are responsible for unrest in Karachi. Those involved in Karachi unrest will be taken to task, he vowed as he said the Rangers, including former Rangers DG, have played an important role to control targeted killings and crime in Karachi. “Rangers were deployed in Karachi on the request of Sindh government to assist the police force.

The police strength was not enough to control the law and order situation in Sindh. It will be unfair to blame the whole Rangers personnel for individuals’ action”, he said while referring to Sarfaz Shah’s gruesome murder by some Rangers men.
