KARACHI: MQM, ANP, PPP and various Sindhi National parties have condemned and rejected the statement of Punjab CM Shabaz Sharif in which he stated that PML-N would support the idea of creating new provinces in Pakistan, including the establishment of Karachi as a separate Province.
The statement of Punjab Chief Minister surprised many circles of Pakistan as no party has
demanded the creation of Karachi as new Province.Sindh’s PPP minister Agha Siraj Durrani said that they will never allow the break-up of the province, while an MQM spokesman said that MQM will not let Sindh be distributed under any circumstances. An ANP spokesman from Sindh said that Sharif’s statement regarding the distribution of Sindh has greatly disappointed the people of this province.
Such statements from a senior level of Punjab politician shows frustration on the issue of Siraiki province and it would not solve the problems of Pakistan but rather create more problems for the country.
