KARACHI: A peace deal has been threatened between Pakistan Government and Taliban in North Waziristan after a US drone attacked on a Peace Jirga in which 45 people including women, children and tribal elders were died.
Taliban commander Hafiz Gul Bahadur protested against the drone attacks in North Waziristan on Sunday and said that if drone attacks were not brought to an end, he would end the peace deal with the government.
“The peace agreement was made for the establishment of peace in the region but the people of North Waziristan are continuously being targeted with drone attacks and now the jirga’s are not even safe,” said Gul Bahadur’s spokesperson.
Gul Bahadur warned that if drone attacks and the series of civilians deaths did not stop he would consider ending the three-year long peace deal.
Pakistan has protested with US by summoning US ambassador and warned America that in future the drone will be destroyed and put her Air Force at high Alert.
