US wants unconditional release of Raymond Davis



ISLAMABAD: The US envoy in Pakistan Cameron Munter conveyed a message to the president Zardari from Washington to release the accused killer of two Pakistani citizens, Raymond Davis, unconditionally.


Munter meet president Zardari after he recently returned back from Washington after consulting the issue with the superior US officials.

Raymond Davis, an American official, shot two Pakistani men in what he said was self-defence in a market area in Lahore last month.

However the president according to sources, made it clear that the US consulate employee’s case is in the court now and all parties must await the verdict.
