Security fears haunt Israel, Violence errupts in Egypt

The violence unfolding in Egypt is causing concern across the border in Israel. Hosni Mubarak's security apparatus has policed Egypt's border with the Gaza Strip since Israeli withdrew from its settlements in 2005. It has also maintained a quiet border between Israel and Egypt.

Israel is now worried about the possibility of both the borders becoming loose. Israel's interests could be under threat as public protests and violence rattle Mubarak's government.
