Youth who fell from plane, identified


LAHORE: Youth, who died of falling from a plane in north cantonment Al-Faisal Town area of Lahore, has been identified as Qasim Siddique.

According to details, a youth mysteriously fell on a rooftop from a plane on 13th January night in Al-Faisal Town. Police and other investigative agencies continued probing for at least six days; but, the youth could not be identified; nor was the actual incident could be ascertained.

Police and investigative agencies were unwilling to accept that the youth died of falling from a plane. Police, however, stressed the youth was thrown after he was killed; but, the post-mortem report uncovered that the youth had all his bones broken falling from a huge altitude.

Meantime, police probed as to how the youth made his way to the tire of a plane, as the youth was not a Civil Aviation or an airline employee. Investigation team scoured through CCTV footage, but all in vain.

After the passage of six days, the youth was identified as Qasim Siddique. His father Muhammed Siddique, a resident of Darughawala, has an electronics shop. Qasim, who was Matriculation student, has six brothers and two sisters.

According to his family, Qasim went to school along with his friends Ali Jamshed; but, the two friends could not return.
