ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan on Monday said that predictions of opportunists have failed predicting derailment of democratic system which would continue under the dynamic leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party.
Talking to mediamen after a function of Naat Khawani arranged at Margalla College F-7/4, he said that those elements whose main business thrived upon such false hopes had also died down.
He said that people who believed on such pundits and bet over had also lost their invested money.
“There is no storm in the tea cup now and we would strengthen the democratic system with full public support,” he reiterated.
In reply to a question of Asia bibi’s case, he said the case was pending in the High Court and we will never circumvent the judicial system and advised to wait for a decision. – APP
