India beats South Africa in First champions Trophy Match

Cardiff: India has beaten South Africa here in their first match of Champions Trophy by 26 runs. After winning the toss South Africa decided to field first.

India Scored a decent total of 331/ 7 wickets in 50 overs. Indian opening batsman gave a good opening partnership 127 runs. Both Sharma scored 64, the other opener S Dhawan scored 114.

South African bowler McLaren took 3 for 70 runs a very expensive one.

South African reply was not good as they lost their both openers earlier. In the middle De Villers and Peterson made a good hope partnership as they both scored 70 and 68 respectively.  At the end they were all out on 305 runs in 50 overs.

In the end India won the match by 26 runs.
