Egypt limits crossings at Gaza border

GAZA:  Egypt government ruled by Army has reimposed restrictions Wednesday on the number of Palestinians allowed to enter from the Gaza Strip at the Rafah crossing, days after permanently opening the border point in a move to ease Israel’s blockade of the Hamas-ruled territory.

Hatem Aweidah, who is in charge of border crossings for the Hamas government in Gaza, said that Egyptian officials had set a limit of 350 to 400 travelers who would be granted entry each day, on the grounds that border personnel could not handle more.

US-Pakistan to form an anti-terror squad


WASHINGTON: US and Pakistan has formed an anti-terror squad reports say, the move comes after Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton presented the Pakistanis with the US list of most-wanted terrorism targets, US and Pakistani officials said Wednesday. The list includes some groups the Pakistanis have been reluctant to attack, US officials said.

China dismissed Google's allegation of massive hacking


Beijing : China rejects Google allegation of Massive hacking breach as fabrication as Google alleged that hackers based in China accessed hundreds of Gmail accounts, including some belonging to senior U.S. officials, 

Asked repeatedly at a news conference about the hacking, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the accusations against China are “unacceptable.”

It will be Dangerous to abandon Pakistan, Mike Mullen


WASHINGTON: US military chief Admiral Mike Mullen said Thursday that Pakistan needed space to sort out internal problems and that it would be dangerous for the United States to abandon the troubled war partner.

Mullen said that Pakistan has been going through “a great deal of introspection” in the month since US forces killed the world’s most wanted man Osama bin Laden in a secret raid near the country’s top military academy.
