Malinga took his carrier best 6 wickets

Colombo : Sri lanka has defeated Kenya in world cup match by 9 wickets easy win. Playing first Kenya were all out on 142 in 43.4 overs, with Malinga's 2nd best ever best bowling of world cup as took 6 wickets for 38 runs. 

Once Malinga was a close to Hat trick but could not target his ball on the batsman and got last wicket just after two deliveries. 

An Iceman who lived 5,300 years ago



Recent Research shows a man shows an iceman who lived 5,300 years ago and affectionately nicknamed as Qetzi after teh Qetzial Apls in south Tyrol, northern Italy, where he was found in a glacier on 19 september 1991. The Iceman is believed to have died around the age of 45 years. 

His height was about 1.6 meters and weighted 50 kg. Astonishingly he did not have blue eyes as previously thought. 

The visitors may see Iceman Qetzi  under a new lights in South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano, as it celebrates the 20 th anniversary of the mummy's discovery. 

Yemen's leader Ali Abdullah Saleh Blames the Protests on Israel and US




Yemen's president Ali Abdullah Saleh blames recent protests on Israel and the US, accusing them of destabilizing his country and the Arab world as protesters demanding his ouster press ahead with demonstrations.

His comments on Tuesday marked his harshest public criticism yet of the US, a key ally with which his government is battling al-Qaeda pockets in the Arab Peninsula.

He said "there's an operations room in Tel Aviv with the aim of destabilising the Arab world" and that it is "run by the White House".

Tunisia's interim government has granted the main Islamist group, El Nahda, permission to form a political party, the official Tunis Afrique Presse News Agency (TAP) said.

Tuesday's decision will allow El Nahda, a moderate Islamist movement that had been banned for two decades under toppled President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali's rule, to participate in upcoming elections.

India hiked defence budget to Record Rs 1473.44 billion



NEW DELHI: India hiked the country`s defence budget for the 2011-12 fiscal year to Rs1,644.15 billion as announced by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Monday .

Presenting the April-March fiscal year budget in the Lok Sabha, Mr Mukherjee said the new defence outlay would mark an increase from the 2010-11 allocation of Rs1473.44 billion

Chief Justice Directs Govt to dismiss DG FIA with in three days



ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Tuesday directed the government to dismiss Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Waseem Ahmed within three days.

This directive came during the apex court’s hearing of the Hajj corruption case.

Supreme Court judge Justice Raja Fayyaz stated that the Hajj scam could not be justly investigated under the supervision of the current DG FIA.

The court dismissed the FIA’s report on the Hajj corruption case and stated that FIA was trying to protect suspects.

Obama administration rejects Pakistan’s proposal to trade Davis for Dr Aafia

WASHINGTON: The United States has rejected Pakistan’s proposal to trade Raymond Davis for Dr Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist serving an 86-year term in a US prison, diplomatic sources told.

The sources said that Pakistan discussed the proposal at “the highest level” in the Obama administration but was told that this was “a non-starter”.

The US government informed Pakistan that they would not entertain the possibility of trading Ms Siddiqui for Mr Davis because “these were two different cases”.

Government of Pakistan increases the Price of Petroleum by 9.9 per cent



ISLAMABAD: Government of Pakistan increases the price of petroleum products by 9.9 per cent ending a four-month freeze forced on to it by the opposition of the major parties.

The current hike in price is a after a lull of 32 months since July 2008 and is expected to generate about Rs5-6 billion revenue for the government, depending on the fluctuation in the international market which has been caused by the political turmoil in oil-producing countries of the Middle East and North Africa. In fact, the recent instability in the Middle East, which does not appear to be settling down any time soon, has led to a recent hike in oil prices.
